Pavement repairs made to KY 90 bridge in Cumberland County
Bridge structurally sound
SOMERSET, Ky. (Sept. 27, 2018) – Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) crews patched an opening in the pavement on the KY 90 bridge over the Cumberland River in Burkesville Wednesday. KYTC bridge engineers inspected the overpass and determined there was no effect to the structural integrity of the structure (bridge). Traffic was temporarily reduced to one lane while crews made repairs. All lanes are open to traffic.
In August, a bridge rehabilitation project for the KY 90 and KY 61 structures was awarded to Hall Contracting. The projects are scheduled to begin early 2019.
