Cumberland County’s Panthers had a mirror record and played at home last week dropping on to Barren County 68-60, then taking one 57-65 over Metcalfe County last Friday.

Clinton County 9-0, Cumberland County 6-4, Russell County 4-3 and Metcalfe County at 1-8.

Overall, in the Metcalfe County game the team was 52.1% in field goals, shooting 25% at three-point shots, and 52.4% at the free-throw line.

Leading scorers were Aidan Branham with 26 points, followed by Noah Wood with 15 and Zachary Harwood with 10.

Byren Crawley scored 7 points, Burk Sells scored 5 and Braden Perdue put in 2.

Shooting for three-points, Branham was 75 percent, while Harwood was 75 percent at the free throw line.

Of the 26 rebounds Wood pulled down 8 and Crawley grabbed 6. Rounding out the rebounding was Branham with 5, Harwood with 3 and 2 each for Sells and Perdue.

And the Barron County game team shooting percentages were all under 50 percent.

Individually Gavin Craft was 71% from the field overall and 67% from the three-point line.

Rebounding showed the same aggressiveness that would win them the next game, but Barren County’s deep bench allowed for a hard charging style all 4 periods.
