There were 60 trophies and door prizes along with crowd-judged competitions at the Ride ’n Shine last Saturday.
Tim Bow, organizer of Ride ’n Shine at Southern Kentucky Distillery last Saturday, said the event was a success, yet again.

Shown here is one of the mini prizes available to contestants in the car show at last Saturday’s Ride ‘n Shine event at SKD. The real moonshine bottles are filled with water and glitter, not their original contents.
Distillery founder Junior Cecil also praised the fun had by all at the event.
They broke from tradition this time, having a car show rather than a cruise.
The number of vehicles was up this time, though the Roller Coaster Yard Sale did affect some spectator attendance.

There were cars and trucks in mini classes at the car show during Ride ‘n Shine’s fall event at SKD last Saturday, and cruising amongst them were fellow contestants and spectators.
Given the “Back to the Future” theme, Cecil dressed as Marty McFly, and an actual DeLorean was brought to the event by David Tinsley of Lebanon, Tennessee.

Out front of the other contestants, “Jane Fonda” struts her “Let’s Get Physical” poses for the audience. Contestants were judged by the crowd on their presentation of ‘80s music and movie themes.
Bow said he also brought a 1200 hp tractor-trailer, and the trailer was used as the stage for the screen as participants and spectators watched the movie at the end of the event.
No figures yet on how much money was raised for charity at this particular event, though the ones proceeding helped fund veteran’s programs locally.
