Alumni are invited to the game tonight
Alumni members are invited to re-join the band as they celebrate 100 years of the Big Red Marching Band. They are hoping that previous members will join them for an exciting day of great music, food, and fellowship Nov. 15 as the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers take on the Middle Tennessee State University Blue Raiders. It will be thrilling to have the alumni band join the current Big Red Marching Band on the field for a combined halftime show.
Adam Alsup, a former member of the band, is going to be there he said. The airline pilot said the band was important in his growth as a person while he was at WKU.
He said over 100 alumni have signed up to take part.
“It doesn’t matter if you have kept up with your playing or not,” he said. “Come out. You get tossed sit with the band and enjoy the game.”
The activities started this morning and go through 7:30pm and Alsup, who is also on the alumni board, said they were really hoping to see a lot of old friends rejoining them at this game.
