In Local Voting These Are The Results

Winners County-wide

In the presidential race, the team of Donald J. Trump and J.D. Vance took 86% of the overall vote in Cumberland County.

In the US House of Representatives contest, James R Comer had 89.17% of the Cumberland County votes.

Amy Neighbors took 84% of the votes for State House of Representatives.

Being uncontested, Rick Girdler won for State Senator. And in other uncontested races Jessie M. Stockton Junior remains Commonwealth Attorney, Tracy Brewington Daniels continues as circuit clerk with each having garnered 100% of the vote.

Meanwhile and the perennial selection for County Surveyor, nobody, won with no votes, for or against.

In the Cumberland County School Board election incumbents Khristy F. Williams, Will Scott and Jackie Bryant, each earned the right to return to their seat.

For the six seats on the Burkesville city Council, Glen Allen Murphy, Connie Cravens, Jamie Allen, Doug Radford, and Trevor Owsley were the victors.

In the question of allowing medical cannabis businesses within the City of Burkesville, the vote was 329 for 218 against.

The constitutional questions were split with amendment one passing and amendment two failing.
