The district started off their meeting addressing a customer complaint regarding low water pressure.

The districts full-time manager, Michael Ballard told the board that materials removed from the project on KY – 704 can be used to replace the line to that customer’s meter.

Ballard said the work on replacing the lines on KY-704, and tying into Adair County is finished and tests submitted, with the work expected to be done before the next meeting.

At the previous meeting of the board Ballard’s position as manager was made permanent, and at this meeting of the board, one of the probationary employees recently hired became a regular full-time employee.

“We had several large leaks in this water report,” said Ballard. “One was leaking only 10 days, but it leaked over half-million gallons.”

With all that the district leak report for the previous month was up close to 30% again.

Ballard said they were found and repaired.

“That’s still better than we were,” said Board President Troy Norris.

Ballard replied that crews had been working on the leaks, and that adding the new water meters would help in finding the leaks.
