Lady Panthers Take Two at Home and One Away

After an away game at Monroe County the Lady Panthers hosted Allen County-Scottsville, and then Russell County, earning W’s in all three matchups.

When Cumberland County’s girls visited Monroe County they came away with a hard fought 45–44 win. The team was 41% overall from the field and 77.8% from the free-throw line.

Leading scorers were Madie Cooksey with 15, Jordyn McDonald with 13 and Kenzie Willen with 11 points. As a team they pulled down 18 rebounds in that game.

 

Madi Cooksey set up to add two more points to the Lady Panthers total in the game last Friday against Russell County.

 

Against Scottsville the Lady Panthers played a focused and coordinated game pulling down at 64-70 win last Tuesday.

Overall, the team was 57.1% from the field and 64.7% at the line.

Leading scorers for McDonald with 25, Cooksey with 15, and Abby Morgan with 14 points. Overall, the team pulled in 19 rebounds.

 

In the game against Allen County-Scottsville Abby Morgan was mugged during a jumpshot. She sank the shot and picked up both the free throws.

 

When hosting Russell County, the Lady Panthers put holes in the Lady Lakers boat, winning 32–46.

In that game Cumberland counties girls put in 46.7% of the shots they attempted overall and were 85% shooting from the line.

And they pulled in 24 rebounds.

The leading scorers were Cooksey and Morgan with 16 points each.
